  1. Hi, I'm an engineer working for CMOS Image Sensor development. I have a question about the 'color noise' referred in this article. How is the color noise originated? In Toshiba's sensor image, and even in our company's sensor, it seems that the size of 'colored grain' covers many pixels (about 5x5 ~ 10x10, but I think that it may differs with pixel size), not a single pixel. Thus I think it did not come from the pixel defects. The color noise grains are ramdomly distributed in position. Also, it seems to be temporal noise dependent on time. Can you give me an answer? At least I want to know if there is common term referring to the 'color noise.'
